Amy Tso is an associate in the firm’s Litigation department. She joined Goodwin in 2024.
Experience
Amy was a summer associate in Goodwin’s New York office in 2023.
While attending law school, Amy was the Vice-President of Chiefs in Intellectual Property (ChIPs) and a member of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. She also worked in a legal clinic where she advised clients on IP issues, including patentability requirements and contract agreements for expert witnesses.
Before law school, Amy obtained her Master’s in Biotechnology from Columbia University where she focused on precision medicine, the regulation of drug approval, and clinical trials. She completed her Master’s thesis on viral gene therapy for retinitis pigmentosa, specifically analyzing the design of AAV vectors, and their safety and efficacy tested in ex vivo human retinal explant cultures and iPS-derived human retinal organoids. During college, Amy was a student researcher in MIT’s Chemical Engineering lab, where she ran experiments investigating the role of isoprenoids in the production of pharmaceutical drugs and biofuels for metabolic pathway design.
