Laura Wood is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Industry group and a member of its Joint Ventures and Real Estate Finance practice. Laura advises private funds, institutional investors and owner-operators in a wide variety of transactional matters, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and financings (for both borrowers and lenders). Laura also represents investment funds in connection with subscription secured credit facilities. She joined Goodwin in 2022.

Laura's recent experience includes the representation of:
- A global real estate owner/operator in the sale of a portfolio of thirteen industrial properties located in across the US, with an aggregate sales price of $277.5 million
- A private equity investment firm as lender in a $138 million mortgage loan secured by a portfolio of fifteen industrial properties in Florida and Texas
- A private equity investment firm as lender in a $39.6 million construction loan for an industrial development in New York
- A global real estate owner/operator in the formation of a joint venture, acquisitions and financings of multiple manufactured housing communities across the US
- A global real estate owner/operator in the formation of a joint venture, acquisition and financing of a life-science campus in Massachusetts for a purchase price of $117.5 million
- A private equity investment firm as lender in a $70 million mezzanine loan secured by equity interests in six industrial property owners
Laura also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a particular interest in special education advocacy.
Laura was a summer associate at Goodwin in 2021.
While attending law school, Laura interned in the chambers of Associate Justice Dalila Wendlandt of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Laura also served as a member, and later as the Co-Executive Editor of Notes and Comments, for the Review of Banking and Financial Law.
