Goodwin Procter Ranked Among Most Active For M&A Activity

BOSTON, July 9, 2007 —Thomson Financial recently released its second quarter worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions Review and ranked Goodwin Procter LLP among the most active legal advisors for M&A transactions in the world. The firm ranked 12th based on volume of U.S. target-side M&A deals, and 21st for completed U.S. M&A deals. Goodwin Procter also ranked 18th for completed M&A deals involving U.S. public companies.

On a global scale, Goodwin Procter ranked 12th for completed M&A deals as well as 13th for announced M&A deals involving Australia and New Zealand. In Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan), Goodwin Procter ranked 24th for announced M&A deals.
