Goodwin Procter has grabbed the top spot on PrivateRaise’s PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equity) Placement Agent League Table through the end of the third quarter of 2011. Advising on 29 deals with an aggregate value of more than $680 million in 2011, the firm jumped three spots from its 2010 ranking.
The firm also placed in the Top 25 on PrivateRaise’s PIPE Issuer Table, advising on five deals totaling more than $347 million.
These most recent placements confirm Goodwin as one of the most active law firms advising on PIPE transactions.
“We are pleased with our recognition by PrivateRaise and believe it reflects Goodwin Procter’s commitment to this important segment of the capital markets. We believe that PIPEs and other similarly structured transactions will continue to grow in number and complexity as the capital markets in the U.S. remain choppy and unsettled. Goodwin looks forward to continuing to advise our clients during these uncertain times,” said Michael D. Maline, a partner in Goodwin Procter’s New York office.
