Professionals

Goodwin Procter was recently recognized as one of the top 25 law firms for pro bono work by American Lawyer. The magazine’s 2015 pro bono survey, which ranks Am Law 200 firms, highlights those firms who have made pro bono contributions a priority over the past year.  Notably, Goodwin was ranked:

  • #14 in Total Pro Bono Hours
  • #20 in Average Hours per Lawyer

The firm received an overall ranking of 25 out of the top 200 firms.

“We have a longstanding tradition of pro bono work at Goodwin, and the firm considers it essential to the success of our institution, as well as our individual legal practitioners,” stated David Hashmall, chairman of Goodwin Procter.

Last year, Goodwin attorneys, summer associates and paralegals contributed more than 83,000 hours to over 620 pro bono matters. The firm’s Pro Bono Initiative is led by a Committee of 10 partners from each of the firm’s U.S. offices. Read more about the firm’s pro bono work here
