Goodwin’s Securities Litigation + White Collar Defense partner Inez H. Friedman-Boyce was named to the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2017 Top Women of Law list. The award honors women lawyers who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field.
Ms. Friedman-Boyce has spent more than two decades defending securities class action and shareholder litigation matters in federal and state courts against financial institutions and both publicly traded and privately held operating companies. Ms. Friedman-Boyce has also represented numerous clients in regulatory proceedings brought by the SEC, FINRA, and other federal and state regulatory bodies. In addition to defending securities and shareholder litigation matters across the country, Ms. Friedman-Boyce advises senior management and boards of directors on how to minimize securities liability risks, and how best to manage such crises when they occur. She is the president of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice, a two-term director of the ACLU of Massachusetts, a past co-chair of the Class Actions Committee of the Litigation Section of the Boston Bar Association, and an alumna of the LeadBoston program.
