The Paris Private Equity team advised ENGIE on taking a majority stake in Electro Power Systems (EPS), a technological pioneer in energy storage systems and micro grids. The transaction will be followed by the filing of a simplified mandatory tender offer at the same price, subject to the work of the independent expert to be appointed by EPS. The transaction is anticipated to close in the first quarter of 2018.
ENGIE, headquartered in Paris, is one of the largest global utilities with 150,000 employees worldwide and revenues of €66.6 billion in 2016.
