Legal 500 Deutschland has highly ranked Goodwin’s Frankfurt office for its achievements in Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Law in the 2021 edition of the guide. The publication also recognized lawyers Stephan Kock, Marc Bohne, Peter Junghänel and Catharina Förster for their accomplishments over the past year. This recognition demonstrates the continued growth of the firm’s Frankfurt office, which offers clients experienced, innovative counsel in the private equity, real estate and financial sectors across Europe.
Legal 500 noted the versatility of Frankfurt’s Real Estate Finance team, which has maintained its status as a leader in “complex financings and refinancings” while also expanding its work in “logistics and residential asset classes.” This includes representing lenders, investors and debt funds, and borrowers in “various types of loans, such as green loan financing, senior, mezzanine and subordinated loans as well as the syndication and tranching of equity investments.”
Legal 500 also noted that Frankfurt’s Real Estate team, led by Bohne and Junghänel, is “frequently called upon by institutional investors and capital management companies in the context of national and cross-border transactions,” and works in tandem with the firm's renowned Private Equity practice, which has a “strong real estate focus.”
The guide once again named partner and Frankfurt office Chair Stephan Kock a Leading Lawyer for Real Estate Finance, praising his “expertise,” leadership and the “range of topics” on which he advises.
