Goodwin Named a Massachusetts Powerhouse by Law360

Goodwin has been named a Massachusetts Powerhouse for 2021 by Law360. This annual series recognizes firms that are handling some of the biggest deals and most high-profile courtroom battles, all while making a lasting impact on the law in Massachusetts and around the world.

Law360 highlighted that “Goodwin guided billions of dollars worth of deals over the past year, steered massive real estate transactions in the hotbed Boston market and helped Moderna get its COVID-19 vaccine out to an anxious world.”

According to Stuart Cable, Vice Chairman and Global Chair of M&A, “Goodwin has gotten to represent Moderna from inception and be in the boardroom as it went from zero to $20 billion in revenue in very short order and, more importantly, [changed] the arc of the pandemic."

On the litigation front, Goodwin was described as a “‘go-to’ firm for clients defending class action lawsuits filed under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.” Law360 also highlighted the firm’s longstanding commitment to protecting society’s most vulnerable members, particularly during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our attorneys have stepped up and continued to give back to our community in pro bono efforts,” said Andrew Sucoff, Chair of Goodwin’s Boston office. “We were helping small businesses in the community and those were people deeply impacted by the pandemic, and our services there were more important than ever before."
