Kevin Boyle is an associate in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Life Sciences group. Kevin represents clients across the life sciences industry, including public companies, private companies and investment banks.

Kevin’s work extends throughout the corporate lifecycle, with a focus on capital markets transactions such as IPOs, follow-on offerings, at-the-market offerings and private placements of equity securities. Additionally, Kevin advises private company clients on a wide array of corporate matters, including seed, venture and growth equity financings and general corporate governance matters. Kevin also counsels a number of publicly traded companies in ongoing SEC compliance and corporate governance matters.

  • TELA Bio, Inc. in its $13 million public offering and concurrent credit refinancing, $46 million follow-on offering
  • The underwriters of Owlet, Inc.’s $34.5 million follow-on offering
  • The underwriters in connection with a $100 million “at-the-market” program for KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
  • Leal Therapeutics, Inc. in its $30 million Series A financing
  • A publicly traded therapeutics company in its upsized PIPE financing of $85 million; $40 million equity line of credit financing
  • Larimar Therapeutics, Inc. in its $69 million public offering
  • Sionna Therapeutics, Inc. in its $219.2 million upsized initial public offering
  • A private therapeutics company in its $13.7 million Series A financing
  • A private therapeutics company in its $10 million Series B financing
  • SpringWorks Therapeutics, Inc. in its upsized $316.25 million follow-on offering, $250 million “at-the-market” facility

Areas of Practice

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

While at Suffolk University Law School (SULS), Kevin was a summer associate and later a law clerk at Goodwin and a judicial intern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler in the District of Massachusetts. Kevin also served as a note editor for the SULS Journal of Health and Biomedical Law.

Prior to law school, Kevin was a litigation case assistant at Goodwin from June 2017 to June 2019 and participated on trial teams that litigated cases in the Western Federal District of Missouri, the Federal District of New Jersey (Newark), and the Delaware Court of Chancery (Wilmington).

Kevin is a current coach and volunteer for Boston Youth Lacrosse Association (BYL). BYL is a not-for-profit organization established to teach the youth of Boston’s communities the game of lacrosse. Kevin has been coaching and volunteering with BYL since the fall of 2020.
