Elena Hera is a partner in the Public Company Advisory, Capital Markets and ESG & Impact practice areas.
Elena serves as ongoing corporate and securities counsel for a diverse group of publicly traded companies, including real estate investment trusts (medical, residential, hospitality, office and retail). She regularly counsels clients on SEC and stock exchange compliance, and corporate governance matters, including serving as board and board committee counsel on governance, risk oversight and disclosure issues. Elena has represented issuers and investment banks in connection with over $20 billion of completed capital markets transactions, including IPOs, registered equity and debt offerings, and private placements.
Elena also advises clients on a wide variety of ESG-related issues, including mandatory and voluntary reporting, ESG governance, development of policies and procedures, anti-ESG considerations, fund formation and marketing, and ESG due diligence.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Elena was an associate in the Public Company Representation and Capital Markets group of Latham & Watkins LLP.
