BBA Fundamentals Series: Formation of Tax-Exempt Organizations

Formation of a Tax Exempt Organization is the third in a seven-part Fundamentals Series on public charities and private foundations. The series will provide a basic overview geared toward new attorneys (or those attorneys new to the practice area) on forming, operating and dissolving a tax-exempt organization in Massachusetts. The Formation program will describe how to form a nonprofit corporation and obtain federal tax exemption as a 501(c)(3) private foundation or public charity.
