On March 15, the New York office Women's Initiative hosted a panel of Goodwin alumnae who now serve as in-house and corporate counsel. The well-attended event fostered a lively discussion about in-house practice, as well as how training at Goodwin assisted the panelists in their transition to in-house work. The panelists also offered practical advice based on their in-house experiences to help Goodwin better serve its clients. The panelists were Stephanie Pare Sullivan (General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at THL Credit), Lizette Perez-Deisboeck (General Counsel at Battery Ventures), Megan Caughran Robson (Senior Counsel at Wells Fargo) and Samantha Schreiber (Executive Director at Morgan Stanley).
Key points of interest covered how outside counsel is chosen, strategies for managing outside counsel and how women in business can network to expand relationships and mentoring opportunities.
