Goodwin Procter to Host Venture Capitalists and Investors, Tech Start-ups for United States' First Capital On Stage in New York

NEW YORK, October 19, 2012 — Goodwin Procter, a national Am Law 50 firm, will host the first Capital On Stage conference in the United States in its New York offices on Friday, November 9, 2012.

Previously held in London and Amsterdam, the unconventional funding conference brings together top-tier investors and tech start-up founders. At Capital On Stage, investors present themselves to start-ups, instead of the reverse.

“We're excited to bring our unconventional conference format to the U.S., after two successful European events,” said Arjen Strijker, founder and CEO of Capital On Stage. “We know the U.S. market is strongly entrepreneurial and still reaching for growth – and we want to be part of that.”

This year, 20 venture capitalists and angel investors are expected to present their views on the market, their added value, and what they’re looking for in their next investments, to more than 200 selected founders who are seeking funding.

Confirmed presenters include:

The conference also includes sessions on fundraising and open office hours that allow all start-ups to book 15-minute meetings with investors of their choice.

The Capital On Stage New York conference will be held at Goodwin Procter’s offices in New York City at 620 Eighth Avenue on Friday, November 9, 2012 beginning at 9:00 a.m.

With more than 160 attorneys, Goodwin’s Technology Companies Practice is one of the largest in the United States. From advising on start-up financing and corporate partnering to public offerings and mergers, the firm represents more than 800 technology-based companies, including a third of Fortune 100 companies.
