The Paris Private Equity team advised the shareholders of Orthotaxy, a privately held developer of software-enabled surgery technologies, on its sale to Johnson & Johnson. The transaction was carried out through Johnson & Johnson French affiliate, Apsis S.A.S.
With this acquisition, Johnson & Johnson plans to broaden and optimize the application of Orthotaxy’s next generation technology to a larger range of orthopedic surgery procedures. Both companies aspire to significantly improve patient care by developing an innovative and comprehensive digital surgery platform.
