Goodwin has opted not to join the list of law firms delaying associate start dates amid the health and economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, instead telling them they can now join in October. In a memo to Goodwin's incoming associates class, Emily Rapalino, the firm's national hiring partner, said the over 1,200-lawyer firm would now welcome its 83 new associates on October 19, consistent with a normal fall start date.
