The Cambridge and London Technology team has advised Raspberry Pi in its strategic investment from Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation and the global leader in image sensors.
The investment extends the existing manufacturing relationship between the two companies and enables the development and provision of a platform for creating visual sensing applications using AI cameras which contain IMX500 imaging sensors to Raspberry Pi users and developers.
Cambridge-based, Raspberry Pi is a computing company with a mission to democratize technology – making computers and computing accessible and affordable for everybody. Raspberry Pi wants people to actively engage with technology, not just be passive consumers, and wants to provide businesses with access to cutting-edge computing technology at the lowest possible cost. Above all, the Raspberry Pi platform aims to be an engine for creativity, learning and innovation.
The Goodwin team included David Mardle, Adam Thatcher, and Matthew Nestor.
