Goodwin has hired former Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyer Allan Medina, augmenting its White Collar Defense and Government Investigations, and Healthcare practices. Goodwin’s Healthcare practice co-chair James Gatta said in a statement to CDR: “A highly regarded senior DOJ official, prosecutor and trial lawyer, Allan’s breadth of knowledge and extensive experience in white-collar, investigations and corporate matters deepens and expands our practice nationally and globally,” further adding: “Allan will be a tremendous asset to our clients across the healthcare, life sciences, technology, real estate and financial industries.” Medina added that he joined the firm for its “commitment to provide comprehensive legal counsel across a wide array of government enforcement priorities” and said he aimed to “help clients navigate complex criminal and regulatory issues.”
