Lihui Bai

Lihui Bai is a science advisor in Goodwin’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice, where she supports complex patent disputes, biosimilar strategy, and technical analysis across biologics, pharmaceuticals, and advanced therapeutic platforms. As a registered patent agent before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Lihui contributes to litigation strategy, patent validity and infringement analysis, due diligence, and scientific positioning in high-stakes life sciences matters.

With a PhD in Chemistry from Georgetown University, Lihui brings deep expertise in biophysical and biochemical analysis, including protein structure, molecular interactions, and antibody-related technologies. Her scientific training enables her to work closely with trial teams and experts to translate complex data into persuasive technical narratives for courts, regulatory agencies, and patent tribunals.

Lihui is an active contributor to Goodwin’s award-winning biosimilars and biologics platform, Big Molecule Watch, where she tracks global regulatory developments, biosimilar launches, and emerging antibody therapies. Her Mandarin language capability further supports collaboration with global life sciences companies and cross-border teams navigating US IP strategy.

She received her PhD in Chemistry from Georgetown University and has published peer-reviewed scientific work in journals including PNAS and Methods in Molecular Biology.
