Stacy Clement is a Senior Attorney and Private Equity Legal Team Advisor for Goodwin's Private Equity group. Stacy advises investment firms on minimizing risk across their organizations by creating scalable, efficient legal workstreams, spanning fundraising and other fund-related matters, M&A and other investment processes, management company legal matters, and portfolio company matters. She helps clients optimize their legal workflows while systematizing the retention and compounding of legal departmental knowledge. Stacy adds an operational lens on top of her legal expertise to advise sponsors on both traditional and nontraditional legal matters.

Previous Professional Experience
Prior to Goodwin, Stacy was Vice President & Senior Counsel at Vista Equity Partners, where she worked on Vista’s fundraising, M&A, credit and public equities investment processes, portfolio company matters, and internal legal matters (including structuring, commercial arrangements, litigation, corporate and tax matters, labor and employment, privacy and data security, intellectual property and real estate). Prior to Vista, Stacy worked in the corporate group at Kirkland & Ellis in its Los Angeles and San Francisco offices. While at Kirkland, she focused her practice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, primarily on acquisitions and divestitures, restructurings, dividend recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, minority investments, secured and unsecured debt financings, equity financings and refinancings.
