Fred Feyzi is an associate in Goodwin's Intellectual Property Litigation practice based in Silicon Valley. He focuses his practice on patent, trade secret, copyright, and other technology-driven disputes involving software platforms, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, semiconductors, and consumer electronics. His experience includes district court litigation, ITC investigations, and PTAB proceedings, as well as advising clients on intellectual property disputes arising from licensing and commercial relationships.

Fred has particular experience in software-centric litigation, including matters involving source code, software architecture, machine learning technologies, mobile-device functionality, and cybersecurity systems. He regularly works with engineers and technical experts to analyze complex technologies, develop technical positions, and manage source code discovery in high-stakes intellectual property disputes.

Fred joined Goodwin in 2023.

Fred received his JD, with a concentration in intellectual property law, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he served as President of the Hastings Intellectual Property Association and Executive Tech Editor of the Hastings Science and Technology Journal. He also participated in Startup Legal Garage, advising early-stage companies on a range of legal and business issues.

Prior to law school, he worked as a software engineer at an advertising technology startup based in the Bay Area.
