Alex Fisher is a partner in Goodwin’s Employment practice. He advises clients on issues in all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment law. He also regularly counsels clients on the employment law aspects of corporate disposals and acquisitions.
Alex represents a variety of clients across a wide range of sectors. His extensive experience includes advising on large and small scale restructuring and redundancy processes, running investigations into employee complaints and whistleblowing allegations, executive exits and other employee dismissals, litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court, and restrictive covenant and confidentiality breach enforcement action. He has particular experience advising clients on employment aspects of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, leading on employment issues on corporate transactions including TUPE, as well as advising on sponsor license and sponsored work visa applications.

Alex’s representative experience includes:
- Advising on a large-scale restructuring project involving multi-site collective consultation*
- Advising on a high value matter in the financial services sector involving breaches of confidentiality and the enforcement of post-termination restrictions*
- Leading a multi-jurisdictional project putting in place global employment contracts, handbooks, and policies*
- Advising a PLC on its investigation and resulting dismissal of its CEO*
- Defending a valuable discrimination and whistleblowing claim successfully for a client in the technology sector*
- Carrying out an investigation into allegations of discrimination for a client in the sport sector*
