Thomas Maitrejean is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group. Thomas focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, with a concentration on leveraged buyouts (LBO) and transactions for French and foreign private equity funds.
He also undertakes corporate and commercial advisory work for a broad range of corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2016, Tomas was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons (formerly SJ Berwin) in Paris. Previously, he practiced at Clifford Chance, where he was seconded for service as in-house counsel to Electricité de France.
He is fluent in French and English.

- Azulis Capital and the partners-managers of CEME, in the sale of their share capital of the CEME Group, a proven leader in electrical and HVAC engineering and maintenance, to Apax Partners
- Azulis Capital in the sale of Novepan, a French manufacturer of premium frozen partly-baked specialty breads, savory snacks and pizza dough with a leading position on high quality and organic products
- Equistone Partners Europe:
- in its majority investment in Sicame, a global supplier of electrical connectors and accessories to electricity distributors
- in the sale of the Bruneau Group, one of France’s leading online distributors of office furniture and supplies, to TowerBrook Capital Partners
- in the acquisition of a majority stake in Vertbaudet, Europe’s leading e-commerce platform dedicated to childhood
- in the acquisition of Gardengate, a leading European manufacturer of aluminium gates and doors
- Parquest Capital and Amundi in the sale of their stake in Eduservices, a major French player in the private sector of technical and higher education
- Tikehau Capital:
- in the sale of the Verona group, one of the French reference in the world of city sports, to Keep cool
- and Bpifrance, in the acquisition of a minority stake in Eki Metrics, a European leader in “data science for business”
- in the acquisition of a minority stake in Valgo, a leader in removal and soil remediation
- The sellers led by Cerea Partners, in the sale of the GPS group, a worldwide specialist in providing returnable packaging solutions, to MML Capital Partners and Metric Capital Partners
- The sellers and the management of Sevetys, one of the leading operators of veterinary clinics in France, in the sale of the group to Eurazeo
- Three Hills Capital Partners in its investment in Castellet Hospitality, a resilient budget and midscale hotel group operating in the South-East of France
