Kirkie Maswoswe is a partner in the firm’s Public M&A / Corporate Governance practice and Technology group. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism defense, financial advisory representations, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. Kirkie has represented clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, life sciences, real estate, media, and consumer and retail.

Kirkie has extensive experience handling M&A matters for public and private company clients, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, take-privates, and SPAC transactions. She also advises investment banks in connection with financial advisory matters, and companies and their boards of directors in connection with corporate governance and shareholder activism matters.

Professional Activities

Kirkie is a member of the American Bar Association, including its Women in M&A Subcommittee.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Kirkie most recently practiced at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. She was also previously an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co., where she advised companies in the technology sector.

While in law school, Kirkie was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
