Jordan L. Moran is an associate in Goodwin’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Government Enforcement and False Claims Act Defense group. Jordan has extensive experience representing life sciences, healthcare, and consumer products companies in complex litigation and government investigations. As an experienced litigator, Jordan has defended life sciences companies in litigation and government investigations involving alleged healthcare and consumer fraud and alleged violations of the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Anti-Terrorism Act, and federal and state antitrust, bribery, and racketeering statutes. Before starting his practice, Jordan clerked for the Honorable Neil M. Gorsuch on the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Honorable Amul R. Thapar on the US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Goodwin, Jordan practiced for several years as a member of the litigation and investigations practice at a large international law firm in Washington, D.C. Jordan’s complex litigation practice involved defending pharmaceutical, telecommunications, financial services, and consumer products companies from allegations of fraud, deceptive trade practices, bribery, antitrust violations, and terrorism financing. As a member of the firm’s appellate and Supreme Court practice, Jordan also briefed critical issues and dispositive motions in numerous federal district courts and represented companies, amici, and pro bono clients before several federal courts of appeals and the US Supreme Court.

At Harvard Law School, Jordan was an editor of the Harvard Law Review and a finalist and winner of Best Brief in Harvard’s Ames Moot Court Competition. Prior to law school, Jordan served as an Honors Paralegal Specialist in the Criminal Division, Fraud Section of the US Department of Justice, where he assisted federal prosecutors investigating and prosecuting violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. In that role, Jordan was awarded the Assistant Attorney General’s Exceptional Service Award, the Criminal Division’s highest honor.
