Zander Rawlins is an Associate in the Real Estate Industry group and the Joint Venture and Real Estate Finance practices at Goodwin. He joined Goodwin in 2025.
He has a broad range of experience advising both lenders and sponsors on all aspects of domestic and cross-border real estate financing transactions, including acquisition financings, investment and development financings. Zander’s experience includes advising on structured finance products, including securitisations and back-leverage frameworks.
Zander also specialises in sports finance where he has helped clubs, investors, and leagues navigate the legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to stadium developments and media rights financings across Europe.

- Advising a German bank and international property specialist on the financing of an acquisition of two hotels in London and Paris, including pursuant to a Green Loan under a certified Green Finance Framework*
- Acting for an international specialist property lender in its lending of multi-currency facilities of up to €600m to a globally recognised property sponsor to finance the acquisition of twenty-four prime logistics assets in Poland, Germany and the UK*
- Acting for an international real estate debt fund in connection with the establishment of a securitisation platform and the origination of various mezzanine and whole loans in Europe*
- Advising the sponsor group on a super senior financing and restructuring of secured debt exceeding €1bn as part of a wider cross-border Part 26A Restructuring Plan relating to a mixed use development project based in Berlin*
- Advising a real estate development group on the acquisition of a mixed-use development site in East London, including a tax driven intra-group debt restructuring*
FC Barcelona Camp Nou
- Represented several investment banks and over 40 institutional investors on the award-winning €1.45 billion financing for FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou's redevelopment, utilizing a novel structure to secure funds for the stadium's modernization and enhancing future revenue potential*
Valencia CF
- Advising a consortium of institutional investors and bank lenders, as the arranger and placement agent, on a financing package for Valencia Club de Fútbol, which included bridge financing, term loan and private placement debt facilities*
Sevilla FC Financing
- Advised investment banks and institutional investors on a €108 million financing package for Sevilla FC, secured against media revenues, enhancing liquidity and supporting the club's operational and financial objectives*
Real Betis
- Advised investment banks and institutional investors on Real Betis' €125 million financing deal, to support debt restructuring and the renovation of the Benito Villamarín Stadium, boosting future revenue potential*
FC Barcelona Media Rights Notes
- Advised investors on FC Barcelona’s €595 million issuance of privately placed notes, secured against media rights, generating critical funding for the club while leveraging future broadcasting revenues*

- Acting for the San Francisco 49ers in connection with its investment into Leeds United FC*
