Adrián Santiago Ortiz represents life sciences and technology companies in patent litigation, inter partes review proceedings, and post-grant review proceedings, and in other complex commercial disputes. As an associate in Goodwin’s Litigation practice, he participates in every stage of litigation, from fact discovery and technical analysis through motion practice and pretrial strategy. Adrián has worked on patent matters spanning pharmaceutical products with representation for both brand and generic companies, biosimilars and biologic therapies, consumer electronics and lighting products, and semiconductor technologies. He also represents clients in copyright litigation involving software and gaming technologies. Adrián’s experience across both innovator and challenger products in the life sciences space, and across both life sciences and tech, gives him a full-spectrum view of IP disputes.
Adrián maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration and civil rights, reflecting a commitment to expanding access to counsel for underrepresented communities. Before joining Goodwin, he worked with the Boston College Immigration Clinic and the Boston College Civil Rights Clinic.
