Claire M. Storey is a science advisor in Goodwin's Life Sciences Intellectual Property practice group, where she advises companies across all stages of development on patent matters. Her practice encompasses patent prosecution and strategic portfolio management in US and international jurisdictions, freedom-to-operate analysis, and IP due diligence. Claire’s scientific expertise includes antibody-based therapeutics, cell therapies, biologics, and diagnostic tools.
PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL Experience
Before joining Goodwin, Claire worked as a patent agent at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She earned her PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where her doctoral research focused on the development of radiopharmaceuticals for therapeutic and diagnostic applications, including one clinical-stage asset. She also conducted research at Stanford University on neuroendocrine tumorigenesis mechanisms and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on viral capsid characterization for gene therapy. Claire has published in each of these fields.
