Dr. Tian Yong Zheng is a science law clerk and registered patent agent in Goodwin’s Life Sciences IP practice group. Dr. Zheng began her career in patent prosecution in 2020 and joined Goodwin in 2025. She assists clients with a range of intellectual property matters related to life sciences innovations, including patent preparation, patent prosecution, IP due diligence, and freedom-to-operate analysis.
Dr. Zheng is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office only; her work is supervised by DC-barred partners at Goodwin.
Experience
Dr. Zheng has worked with clients across a broad range of life sciences technologies, including antibodies, CAR-T cell therapies, genome therapies, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). As a scientist, Dr. Zheng conducted genetic engineering research for biofuel production in microbial systems and has published over 10 peer-reviewed articles.
