October 24, 2014
Goodwin Procter LLP, Exchange Place, Boston, Massachusetts, 02109

Summary

The threat of a cyber-attack is real and growing. Colleges and universities are at special risk because of the valuable and sensitive information their servers contain--from student, faculty and staff information, to developing research and intellectual property, and everything in between. Our panel of higher education leaders will explore issues including: board governance and oversight of this area; the emerging legislative and regulatory landscape; practical steps schools can take to shore up their cyber defenses and prepare for an attack and special rules that apply to educational institutions related to data protection.
