Koray Bulut Named to Daily Journal’s 2021 Top Labor & Employment Lawyers

Daily Journal has once again named partner Koray Bulut one of California’s Top Labor & Employment Lawyers. The 2021 list of honorees is comprised of lawyers across the state who have made significant contributions in labor and employment law through signatures wins, career achievements and thought leadership.

 

San Francisco-based partner, Bulut is the leader of Goodwin’s California Employment practice and Co-Chair of the firm’s Trade Secrets, Employee Mobility + Non-Competes practice. Bulut’s work focuses on employment counselling and litigation of employment and employee mobility matters. He has nearly two decades of experience representing Bay Area technology companies in a wide variety of issues, including employment discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, unfair competition, enforcement of non-competes and other restrictive covenants, misappropriation of trade secrets, and founder disputes. Bulut also has a proven track record of advising directors and senior management teams on avoidance or resolution of thorny and reputation-threatening employment issues.

 

In addition to his successful practice, Bulut serves as Co-Chair of Pride@Goodwin, which is committed to recruiting, retaining and advancing LGBT talent, plus creating an inclusive and supportive environment across the firm. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Labor & Employment Section of the San Francisco Bar Association.

 

A prolific writer and media commentator throughout his career, Bulut’s insights have been feature in numerous publications, including Bloomberg LawSan Francisco Daily Journal and SHRM, and he authored an article published in BenefitsPro on protection of trade secrets during pandemic-related remote work arrangements. His influence has led to him routinely being ranked as a leading lawyer by The Legal 500 United States and Chambers USA, which praised Bulut for his “subject matter expertise and ability to stay current.”
