FDA Partner Susan Lee Joins Goodwin’s Life Sciences Practice in Washington, D.C.

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Susan Lee joined the firm’s Life Sciences practice as a partner, resident in the Washington, D.C. office.

“FDA counseling is a key component of our global life sciences platform serving innovators and investors,” said Mitch Bloom, chair of Goodwin’s Life Sciences practice. “Susan’s broad experience in FDA regulatory strategy, commercialization, and issues related to corporate transactions will be invaluable to our clients at all stages of the product and corporate lifecycle. We are thrilled to welcome Susan to Goodwin.”

Lee advises innovative biologics and drug companies on FDA regulatory and compliance matters that arise in the development and commercialization of new products and indications. She has counseled companies across the spectrum of the industry, from early clinical-stage companies to established global players.

Lee is ranked by Legal 500 US as a Next Generation Partner for life sciences and healthcare. Prior to practicing law, she was a manager and consultant with McKinsey & Company and served as a vice president of economic policy at a Washington, D.C. think tank.

Her addition adds to the remarkable growth of Goodwin’s Chambers USA-ranked FDA and Healthcare Regulatory counseling practices. The firm’s FDA practice spans drugs, biologics, medical devices, diagnostics, mobile apps, and software, with a deep focus on product development, commercial marketing, and navigating regulatory hurdles that arise before and after products reach the market.

Lee is the eighth partner to join Goodwin’s Life Sciences practice thus far this year. The practice welcomed regulatory, corporate, licensing, and intellectual property partners in Paris, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

U.S. News – Best Lawyers’ 2021 edition named Goodwin the Biotechnology Law Firm of the Year for the sixth time. LMG Life Sciences named Goodwin Firm of the Year in the corporate and intellectual property categories, and distinguished Goodwin as a lifecycle firm, denoting rankings across all practice categories.
