PragmatIC Semiconductor Secures $80 Million Funding

The Cambridge Technology team advised PragmatIC Semiconductor shareholders Cambridge Innovation Capital, Arm, and Avery Dennison in PragmatIC’s $80 million Series C funding.

Cambridge Innovation Capital backs world-leading life sciences and technology companies with an affiliation to Cambridge, Europe’s leading capital for innovation.

Arm is a provider of energy-efficient processor designs and software platforms that have enabled advanced computing in more than 200 billion chips, securely powering products from the sensor to the smartphone and the supercomputer.

Avery Dennison is a materials science and manufacturing company specializing in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of labeling and functional materials.

PragmatIC is a world leader in ultra-low-cost flexible electronics.

This scale-up investment will be used to build a second FlexLogIC fab in the North East of England, to meet the growing demand for ultra-low-cost flexible integrated circuits for the Internet of Everything, and strengthening the position of the UK in its ambition to be a leading designer and manufacturer of next generation semiconductors.

The Goodwin team was led by David Mardle, Adam Thatcher,  with assistance from Gretchen Scott, Curtis McCluskey, Genevieve Watt, and Joseph Ndep.
