Goodwin has hired Andrew Henderson, a regulatory specialist, for its Private Investment Funds team amid a surge in demand for advice from private equity companies and larger institutional clients. Michael Halford, the firm's global private investment funds co-chair, told Law360 that demand for specialist advice has increased as Goodwin's private investment funds practices have grown in Europe, the U.S. and Asia over the past five years. "We already have one extremely good regulatory partner in London in Glynn Barwick," Halford said on Thursday. "But our practice has grown so much, and we're getting more of the larger institutional clients and private equity firms that we needed to increase the depth of the offering."
