David Ajalat is a partner in Goodwin’s Technology practice, where he represents startups, growth companies, venture capitalists and growth investors. Mr. Ajalat guides companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation and financings through exit planning. He has led hundreds of financing and M&A transactions for companies in a wide variety of industries, including technology, digital media, life sciences, fintech, proptech, crypto and web3, software, consumer products, and entertainment, sports, and media. He regularly advises companies on: company formation and structuring, general corporate counseling, corporate governance, capital raising, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting and compliance. Mr. Ajalat also represents venture capital and private equity firms, as well as strategic acquirers in connection with their investments and M&A transactions.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Ajalat was a partner with Latham & Watkins. Previously, he worked with two other leading law firms in Santa Monica and San Francisco/Silicon Valley.
Mr. Ajalat has taught courses on venture capital as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
Mr. Ajalat was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2020 and 2021.
