Representative transactions include advising:
- TA Associates, a global growth private equity firm, in the formation of multi-billion dollar growth private equity funds
- Charlesbank, a private equity firm with a middle-market focus, in the formation of multi-billion dollar private equity funds
- Lowercarbon Capital in their $800 million fundraise to combat climate change
- Acorn Bioventures in their venture capital fund formations
Ms. Falkowitz is a member of the Neighborhood Business Initiative (NBI) and serves on the NBI Steering Committee. This program, founded and run by Goodwin, brings business and legal services to entrepreneurs and small-business owners in the Greater Boston, New York and California area, who are members of underserved communities or whose businesses positively impact underserved neighborhoods. She is also involved in Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), a U.S.-based NGO devoted to the protection of unaccompanied and separated children, and particularly assists in Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases. Additionally, Ms. Falkowitz is a supervisor at the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project which provides pro bono legal research and analysis to entrepreneurs at Harvard and MIT.
While attending law school, Ms. Falkowitz earned the Dean’s prize in both Constitutional Law and First Amendment Law. She was also a volunteer for HLS TaxHelp, a program that provides free tax assistance to low-income individuals and families, and a member of the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project.
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Falkowitz worked for nine years in the financial services sector; three years with MBNA, and six years with American Express.
