Peter Hanoian, a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group, specializes in advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide variety of domestic and cross-border transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth equity investments, strategic transactions, joint ventures and general corporate matters, as well as representing management teams and operating executives in sale transactions. Mr. Hanoian also frequently advises search fund entrepreneurs throughout the life cycle of their search fund, including formation, acquisition, governance and investment exit.

Mr. Hanoian advises investors and companies in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, consumer, business services and technology.

Professional Activities

Mr. Hanoian is a member of the working group of the American Bar Association Committee on M&A Market Trends that produces the Private Target Mergers & Acquisitions Deal Points Study, a widely-cited resource on current M&A deal terms.

Mr. Hanoian also serves as outside counsel to Girls Health Champions, a non-profit public health peer education non-governmental organization, and is active in Goodwin’s Neighborhood Business Initiative, a firm project that provides pro bono legal services to low income businesses in Boston and New York.
