In Martin Miller’s nearly two decades of intellectual property experience, he has assisted clients with a number of patent related matters. Over these years, Martin has collaborated with numerous patent portfolio managers and inventors to develop both US and International patent strategies and drafted as well as prosecuted patent applications that implement the developed strategies. In addition, he has experience with assessing patents for investment purposes and/or non-infringement or validity purposes. As part of the Goodwin MedTech team, he looks forward to continue to apply his technological experience to the realm of medical devices.
Martin has worked with inventors in a wide range of tech industries, such as cellular communications, analog and digital circuits, home and business automation systems, industrial lighting, image evaluation and communications, and machine learning as well as Internet-of-things (IoT) technologies for consumer electronics.
Martin’s experience also extends to strategically protecting products through filing and prosecution of design patents, including designs for the ornamental features of graphical user interfaces, consumer electronic products and jewelry.
Martin worked as a patent attorney for several different law firms ranging from small to medium patent boutiques to a large general practice law firm in the Washington DC area since graduating from law school.
