Consumer Deposit Regulation 101

Goodwin is hosting a CLE for Affirm, “Consumer Deposit Regulation 101.” This CLE will provide the audience with a high-level introduction to the primary consumer financial regulations governing consumer deposit accounts, and how consumer deposit accounts are regulated by bank regulators.  This program will educate the audience about the power of banks to offer deposit accounts, and the pathways for non-bank fintech companies to make deposit accounts available to their customers.  Participants will learn the framework around which basic consumer deposit and debit products are built, the requirements for consumer disclosures and how they differ from lending disclosures, and the types of policies and procedures necessary to build a compliance program for a consumer deposit product.
