The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is assembling a new enforcement team and hiring more personnel as it prepares to toughen oversight of banks, mortgage servicers and other financial firms. Goodwin Consumer Financial Services Litigation and Consumer Financial Services Enforcement partner Anthony Alexis, who was a former CFPB assistant director and head of enforcement, believes this ramping up is in preparation of an expected increase in the number of enforcement investigations and activity.
