Partner Katherine Baudistel was named a 2021 Rising Star by The Deal’s Dealmaker Quarterly. The Deal considered newly elected partners at the country’s top law firms before selecting the most promising new partners for 2021 based on their recent wins, career accomplishments and potential for future success.
Based in the Santa Monica office, Ms. Baudistel is a member of the firm’s Private Equity group, where she focuses her practice on representing private equity sponsors and private companies in connection with a variety of complex financial and strategic transactions, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, carveout transactions, and growth equity investments.
Recently, Ms. Baudistel co-led the Goodwin team representing Accel-KKR, a leading technology-focused investment firm with over $10 billion in capital commitments, in its sale of Insurance Technologies Corporation, a leading provider of marketing, rating and management software and services to the insurance industry, to Zywave, Inc., a provider of front-office distribution Saas solutions and backed by Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. and Aurora Capital Partners. She also co-led the Goodwin team representing enterprise software company Bugsnag Inc., which provides its customers with an error-monitoring tool that allows developers to identify, prioritize and replicate bugs, in its acquisition by SmartBear Software Inc. — a provider of tools for application performance monitoring, software development, software testing, API testing and API management, whose investors include Vista Equity Partners and Francisco Partners.
