Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Jacqueline Eaves will join the firm’s Private Equity and Private Investment Funds practices as a partner, resident in the London office.

“Clients have continued to turn to our robust Secondaries practice for cutting-edge advice on transactions in the secondary market, including portfolio sales, structured secondaries, continuation funds and GP-led transactions,” said Richard Lever, London-based partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity practice. “Bringing onboard someone with Jacqui’s expertise and pedigree in this space will be of immediate benefit to these clients. We look forward to welcoming her to the firm.”

Eaves’ practice is focused on advising private investment funds on a range of complex business transactions in the secondary market, including traditional portfolio sales, preferred equity and GP-led transactions. Eaves was recently named a “2021 Secondaries Next Gen Leader” by Secondaries Investor, a list which recognizes the top 20 professionals working in the secondaries space aged 36 years of age or younger.

Goodwin’s recent secondaries experience includes advising Antin Infrastructure Partners on a GP-led secondary, whereby Antin sold a minority strip of four of the assets from its existing Fund III to Antin Infrastructure Partners III-B SCSp, a new Annex Fund; Neuberger Berman on its $4.9 billion fifth global private equity secondary fund; and Investcorp on its $1 billion GP-led secondary of its European PE business to a new fund with Coller Capital as its cornerstone investor. In addition to Eaves’ joining, the firm has continued to strengthen its Secondaries practice recently with the hires of Esther Chiang and Rob Emerson.
