Daily Journal Names Koray Bulut a Top Labor & Employment Lawyer for 2023

Daily Journal has named partner Koray Bulut one of California’s Top Labor & Employment Lawyers for the fourth consecutive year. The 2023 list highlights lawyers across the state who have made significant contributions in labor and employment law through signature wins, career achievements, and thought leadership.

Based in Goodwin’s San Francisco office, Bulut is a partner in Goodwin’s Employment practice and a leader of the firm’s Trade Secrets, Employee Mobility & Non-Competes group, where he focuses on employment counseling and litigation of employment and employee mobility matters. He has nearly two decades of experience litigating cases for Bay Area technology companies in a wide variety of disputes — including employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, unfair competition, enforcement of non-competes and other restrictive covenants, misappropriation of trade secrets, wrongful termination, and breach of contract — in both state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Collaborating with employers ranging in size from start-ups to large public companies, Bulut also advises on all facets of employment relationships.

In addition to his successful practice, Bulut serves on the Executive Committee of the Labor & Employment section of the San Francisco Bar Association. He previously served as Co-Chair of Pride@Goodwin, which is committed to recruiting, retaining, and advancing LGBTQ+ talent and creating an inclusive and supportive environment across the firm.

Daily Journal also named Bulut a Top Trade Secrets Lawyer for 2022, and he was named an Employment Law Trailblazer for 2022 by National Law Journal. He was selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business from 2020 to 2023, and was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America Best Lawyers for his work in Employment Law in 2022 and 2023. Bulut was Recommended by the Legal 500 in Trade Secrets, Workplace and Employment Counseling in 2023 and in Trade Secrets and Shareholder Activism: Advice to Boards in 2021 and 2022.
