Forbes has named partners Joshua Zachariah and David Cross to its second-annual Top 250 Lawyers in America list, which spotlights "the nation’s finest attorneys in private practice.” Honorees were chosen through a rigorous, multi-stage process of researching, evaluating, and rating thousands of candidates through nominations, direct outreach, recommendations, and editorial review.
Joshua is a partner in the firm’s Public M&A/Corporate Governance practice and serves as Co-Chair of Goodwin’s Global M&A Group. He represents public and private acquirers and target companies in a variety of domestic and cross-border acquisition and disposition transactions, joint ventures, and other corporate matters across industries. Among his accomplishments, Joshua advised Novo Holdings in its $16.5 billion merger with Catalent, and represented Qualtrics in its $12.5 billion acquisition by Silver Lake, in partnership with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
In addition to this recognition, Joshua has been named a Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer for his work advising Novo Holdings. He has also been recognized as a Law360 MVP in M&A, a Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer by Daily Journal, and a Dealmaker of the Year Finalist by New York Law Journal.
David is a partner in Goodwin’s Antitrust and Competition practice and a member of the firm’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. He is a leading, first-chair trial lawyer with extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust and complex business litigation, including intellectual property and general commercial matters. Throughout his career, David has represented some of the world’s leading companies, including CSX Transportation, DuPont, Etsy, John Deere, Sumitomo Electric, Teradata, and Uber.
David has previously been honored by Forbes in their inaugural America's Best-In-State lawyers list and Top 200 Lawyers in America list. He has also received the Pro Bono Publico Award from the American Bar Association, was named a Top Lawyer in Antitrust by Washingtonian, and was one of only four finalists for The American Lawyer’s Attorney of the Year Award.
