Goodwin has once again been ranked the number one law firm in LSEG’s Q3 2025 league tables for global M&A by deal count. The firm also secured the number one position in United States M&A – by deal count – for announced and completed deals.
In the global completed deal ranking, Goodwin led all firms with 632 transactions in Q3 2025. These deals represent a 115% percent increase compared to the firm’s Q3 2024 deal value. Goodwin significantly rose in the global completed deal value rankings from Q3 2024 to Q3 2025.
Partner and M&A co-chair at Goodwin, Lawrence Chu, added: “The M&A landscape has increasingly become more innovative in terms of deal structures and we’ve seen a strong and steady increase across a range of transactions globally this year. Goodwin’s top spot in the league tables by number of transactions is a direct reflection of this activity in key sectors such as private equity, technology, life sciences, healthcare, real estate, and financial services; all sectors we specialize in as a core part of our strategy.”
The league tables further cement Goodwin’s standing as a global leader in mergers and acquisitions, as the firm offers highly differentiated strategic and commercial advice on more transactions annually than any other firm in the world. With a robust industry-specific focus and client-centric approach, Goodwin serves as trusted advisors to clients across select geographies and industry verticals, including private equity, technology, life sciences, healthcare, real estate, and financial services.
