Goodwin Lawyers Contribute to Sixth Edition of Digital Markets Guide (Global Competition Review)
Global Competition Review has published the sixth edition of the Digital Markets Guide, a detailed guide examining competition law developments and important jurisdictions regarding international business.
Goodwin Antitrust & Competition partners Sarah Jordan, Stephen C Mavroghenis, Athena Kontosakou, and Anuj Ghai contributed to the chapter on AI deals in the UK and EU merger control. The chapter explores the growing gap between regulators’ expanding authority to review AI transactions and their limited intervention to date. It also considers what the emerging pro-competitiveness and pro-growth agenda means for AI dealmakers.
Goodwin Antitrust co-chairs Andrew Lacy and Arman Oruc, together with partner Brady Cummins, authored a chapter on US digital merger enforcement. They examine recent US digital merger clearances and faster reviews alongside political pressure, uncertain merger filing rules and scrutiny of AI acqui-hires. Additionally, Andrew, Arman, and Brady served as editors of the Guide.
