Christina (“Christie”) Bitter is counsel in Goodwin's Boston office and a member of its Employment practice.
Experience
Christie advises on a range of employment laws when helping clients accomplish workforce and business objectives. Christie has extensive experience advising clients on hiring practices, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodation obligations, wage and hour laws, and the myriad of laws that arise in the context of employee separations. She frequently drafts, negotiates, and advises clients on complex executive employment agreements. She provides strategic counseling on restrictive covenant disputes, defends clients in employment matters before administrative agencies, provides interactive employee trainings, and conducts internal investigations into claims of retaliation, harassment, and discrimination. She has also served as an employment law specialist in over one hundred corporate transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side.
Christie’s representative experience includes:
- Haystack Oncology in its acquisition by Quest Diagnostics
- Valo Health in its merger with SPAC Khosla Ventures Acquisition Co.
- PointClickCare Technologies on a minority strategic investment from affiliates of Hellman & Friedman LLC and an increased investment from existing investor Dragoneer Investment Group
- Cadent Therapeutics in its acquisition by Novartis for $770 million

Professional Activities
During the summer of 2013, Christie was a legal intern at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Christie also served as a student teaching assistant for New York University’s first-year Lawyering Program from 2013 to 2014.
Christie is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
