Youjung Byon

Youjung Byon is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Investment Funds group. Youjung advises private fund sponsors across Asia on the formation and structuring of a diverse range of investment vehicles, including buyout, growth capital, debt, venture capital, and real estate funds. She also provides advice on governance frameworks and economic arrangements for fund founders. Youjung supports fund sponsors in executing co-investment transactions and navigating regulatory compliance and operational matters.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Youjung practiced at the Hong Kong offices of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Youjung was recognized as a Rising Star by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific. In the 2022 guide, a client was quoted saying she is “highly intelligent and hardworking.”
