Ben Rosales is a partner in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of the firm’s Technology group. Ben specializes in all areas of corporate and securities laws, with a primary focus on emerging growth companies and venture capital firms. He joined Goodwin in 2019.
Ben’s practice focuses on advising emerging growth companies at every stage of their corporate lifecycle, including pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings and mergers and acquisitions. He also represents venture capital funds, growth equity funds and strategic investors in financing transactions from seed through growth stage.
Ben also maintains an active pro bono practice, including advising small businesses, asylum claimants and DACA recipients, and has been recognized for his volunteer work as a recipient of the Wiley M. Manuel Certificate for pro bono legal service.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ben was an associate in the San Diego office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP focusing on corporate and securities law.
During law school, Ben was a law clerk in the Orange County District Attorney’s office and an associate for the Legal Information Institute’s Supreme Court Bulletin. He also won Best Seller’s Counsel at Cornell’s 2016 Transactional Lawyering Competition.
