Mathieu Terrisse is a counsel in Goodwin’s Private Equity Group.

He advises European clients on a broad range of corporate law matters, including domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity deals and leveraged buyouts, debt and equity restructurings and management incentive schemes.

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2016, Mathieu was an associate in the corporate and private equity team of King & Wood Mallesons (formerly SJ Berwin). He was promoted counsel in January 2022.

Experience

Mathieu’s recent transactions include advising:

  • Ares Management Limited in the sale of the Frial group, one of the French leaders in fresh frozen culinary solutions for specialists retailers in frozen food, mass distribution and catering professionals and is a major player in the trading and sourcing of raw seafood, to Le Duff Industries.
  • Mentor, holding company of Spartfin’s founder, Benoit Michaux, in the acquisition by Bridgepoint of the Spartfin group, one of the French leader in personal finance management, and in the build-up between Spartfin and Group Kereis, leader in individual life and health insurance.
  • Parquest Capital:
    • in the acquisition of a stake in Imacam, CRP and I.Series, three groups specialized in radiology and medical imaging in the area of Montpellier (France)
    • in the acquisition of a minority stake in Carat Capital, the leader of a new generation of wealth and private management consulting,
    • in the acquisition of a minority stake in Advens, a leading French cybersecurity pure-player, and
    • in the sale of Fauché, a leading player in electrical engineering in France, to the management of Fauché and EMZ Partners.
  • Rallye, holding company controlling the retail group Casino, in the sale of Groupe Go Sport, one of the French leaders in the retailing of sport goods, to Financière Immobilière Bordelaise.
  • Tikehau Capital:
    • in the sale of the Verona group, one of the French reference in the world of city sports, to Keep cool.
    • together with Quadia and Ouest Croissance, on the acquisition of a minority stake in CETIH, a French leading provider of products and solutions dedicated to housing thermic performance.
